Only for those who are qualified to Level 3 in Anatomy and Physiology / Full Body Massage
This course is for existing professional therapists with an approved Level 3 qualification in Anatomy and Physiology and Full Body Massage (at least 100 training hours – a short massage course of 1-3 days will not be accepted).
This one day workshop is ideal for those who wish to learn some new techniques to add to and enhance their existing skills. It is also suitable for Level 3 qualified massage therapists who may be considering studying for a Sports Massage qualification.
The day will include:
- Deep tissue massage moves
- Hands free work and techniques
- Incorporating your new skills in your massage routine
The class size is small – 8 students maximum – to ensure you have the individual attention you need to perfect your techniques.
You will learn techniques to use on the whole body. It is a very practical hands-on day which will give you new techniques and, importantly, a good grounding on how and when to apply them.
What is included in the course fee
Massage couches and oils are provided on the day; you will be sent information on anything else you may need to bring. The payment in full secures your place on the course.
Peter Cummings is a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist Levels 4 as well as being a Holistic Therapist. He teaches ITEC Massage and Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy at this school and also Indian Head Massage at the Norwich School of Beauty.
This varies with every association but, for example, the CThA awards 5 points for a one day workshop. You can also earn points for the theory work and research you do in advance as ‘private reading’. The CThA awards 1 point per hour (max of 5 hours per year).
